My heart broke this morning to find out that Jerry Fuchs had passed away earlier this morning.  Jerry was the drummer for Maserati and The Juan Maclean and previously with Turing Machine, !!! and various other projects. I had the pleasure to get to know Jerry over the past three years while he was playing with Maserati, and am happy to call him my friend.  Jerry was one of the sweetest guys I have ever had to pleasure to get to know; he always had a smile on his face was easy to make laugh.  Not to mention he was one of the best drummers I have ever seen. Every time I got to see Jerry play was something special,  he was truly a master of his instrument and made it look so easy.  Jerry was also very supportive of my photography which always meant a lot to me. My condolences go out to his family, and bandmates; my thoughts are with you.

Read more about what happened here.
Also, Henry Owings of Chunklet wrote a really nice tribute to Jerry and talks of his time with him.
