Beck @ The Tabernacle

Last Thursday I went to my planned Beck show in Atlanta at the Tabernacle. Thanks to Cary for holding one of his tickets for me! We left after work and drove down with Cary, Mark, and Martha. This was my first time meeting and hanging out with Mark and Martha and they were truely nice cool people, and we had a great time. We stopped at resturant/bar downtown that was really nice and had some drinks and ate dinnner. Martha ended up paying for all of our meals and drinks which was really sweet of her and totally unexpected considering I just met her.

The Beck show was great, it was completely different then the Athens show mostly due to the larger crowd and bigger stage. They completely rearranged the setlist and half the setlist was different songs then the Athens show. They also had bear suits and a huge boom box they lowered down during “Where’s it’s at” Beck also seemed more into the show in general this time around although he still didn’t dance :( Also, they actually played “Loser” at this show rather then having the puppets play it to the album recording. I was able to get some nice shots during the show, but I was a bit scared knowing that cameras weren’t allowed at the show.
